I did enjoy what he wrote about, this was actually my first book I read from r.h. sin, and I do plan to read his other books. I was disappointed by how short his 'poems' where, they seemed more like statements rather than traditional poetry, and from the preview pages for this book, I expected a lot more. This book is also surprisingly very thick, around 460 pages of poetry, but again most of them where just 2 lines and not very satisfying to read. I think that the content he was writing about was very empowering and inspiring, but they all started to run into the same thoughts and ideas that just seemed to be rewritten in more 2 liner statements.I thought I'd pick up this book after I had finished reading Milk and Honey, which I did enjoy, but I think r.h. Sin's flow is a bit better.For those that would rather prefer more traditional poetry that has stanzas, I've also been reading "No Matter the Wreckage" from Sarah Kay and find it a bit more enjoyable.
I loved these poems. They were so heartfelt & so relatable to past/present moments in my life. I would recommend this as a breakup book to any friend! A great reminder of your self worth, self love & inner power/strength.
This is the first time I've ever bought/read a compilation of poetry, and I'm very happy I did. I absolutely love r.h. Sin, and all of these poems are individually beautiful but have a sort of cohesiveness that makes this a great read. I currently keep this on my nightstand, and I'm looking forward to reading their other works.
This is everything I needed in my life right now. I can flip to almost any page and it will be comforting. Thank you to r.h. Sin.

This was honestly probably one of my favourite reads. This book is POWERFUL I literally felt like I could relate to Sin’s writings like they were meant for me. I find myself looking back to tabbed pages in this book more often than any of my others. 10/10 worth the purchase!
This book is very good.. For those going through a bad breakup or relationship. Sure, there are poems here and there that discuss other issues like OCD, female empowerment, and good kinds of love, but the majority of poems are very similar “he hurt me, I still want him. I can’t go back to him†type of poems. I wish I knew picking this book up that the author only focused on one reason someone could be broken. It was more of a beautiful composition of heartbreak than broken, as I saw it. Sure, I really enjoyed many poems in this book, with its modern writing style and short but sweet lines, but it left little to interpret. I suppose I wasn’t a huge fan of the obvious meanings of the poem, as modern poetry doesn’t use conventional methods like analogies and such as frequently, and I wish it was deeper. However, if you are a fan of simple poetry and have experienced a bad heartbreak, this book is for you. Many of the poems feel like they are saying the same thing with different words, but sometimes repetition is key right?Another thing I did enjoy about this book was an underlying sense of empowerment, as in the poem “Be loudâ€: “if women / were silent / the world / would lose / its voice. / if women / held back / the world / would lose / its strength.†In a world like today where all around the globe women are finally starting to break the chains of oppression and stand up for the rights they This book is very good.. The book makes you realize things you don’t always want to come to terms with, like how a relationship is not healthy or how you need to stand up for yourself, which is why I think I was so stubborn while reading this book. After I finally burned bridges with toxic people and activities, I truly started to embrace the honest, raw truth and talent of the poems and the poet himself.-LB
