A simple account of how clinical trials can go wrong. As a physician I would have liked more detail, but it accomplishes what it set out to do.
This book is an excellent and easy read. It provides great insights that help readers understand the basic concepts to know if you are getting quality health care and provides good foundations on what to ask and approach medical recommendations. It has some fantastic examples illustrating how people can be harmed when given untested treatments that apparently made good sense. It shows how scientific evidence has helped to identify what works and what does not, and how to use this information to look after yourself. It is an easy enjoyable read.
