I'm glad I read this, because I had always wondered what the Ancient Iranian Religion was all about. Historically, it was the first Monotheistic Religions, in spite of what you learned in Sunday School. These Scriptures are not unlike the Old Testament of the Bible, and the Koran. A lot of, talk about rules of behavior, God loves his People, but don't cross him, because he will have you burn in "hell", or whatever. This was one of three very long volumes, and I had no desire to slog through two more very long volumes. I got what I wanted, which was an overview of what the Religion was all about.
