This is something that is not always found in business. In fact, I learned that the franchising business had little or no regulations until 1971 when the FTC required franchisors to provide certain sales disclosures prior to the sale of a franchise. The author chose to write this book not only as a guide to potential franchisees, but to make the concept of owning a franchise business radically transparent to the reader.The author honestly shares the basic foundation of franchising from costs, choosing what type of franchise that is a right fit for you, understanding the process, picking up on red flags, financing options to negotiations.One thing I noticed about Mr. Myers is that as a businessman he learned to rely on a few nuggets of truth said by his mentors, friends and famous people such as Ernest Hemingway and Socrates.
