Lisa Heschong, a registered architect and principal of the Heschong Mahone Group (HMG) consulting firm in Sacramento California for more than twenty years, did groundbreaking research on energy performance in buildings, daylighting and human factors. She is a Fellow of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) and was awarded the 2012 Haecker Award for Architectural Research by the Architectural Research Centers Consortium. She has a Master's in Architecture from MIT, a Bachelor's of Science from University of California, Berkeley, and currently resides in Santa Cruz, California.

This book creates a linguistic and imaginal bridge between the senses and the environment as defined by the thermal state in which beings find themselves. I delighted in the descriptive phrases and the addition of poetry to the text. Short and succinct and fun to read! And I learned so much.
This quirky book is insanely interesting, as well as very original. After I read it I thought about it for months afterward. Highly recommended.

I thought this book was about ideas in incorporating "thermal" aspects into architecture, that it might provide some ideas or include some pictures. It does none of that, it is nothing more than a story about fires, hot water, etc., that could have been written by a 5th grader. There are no pictures or ideas whatsoever. wish I had not wasted the money.
Very good product, in pretty good shape for a used book. It came just in time to read for class
