I don't normally rate books so low, and the first book I gave 4 stars, but the ending of this one....WTF???? I loved reading about Katie and Torch, but had expected book two to continue with Beth and Skull. Instead book 2 starts with Katie and Torch, and ends (but still leaving you with a cliffhanger) with Beth and Skull. Now I'm totally confused because as I ended with Beth and Skull, it tells you to read on with Sabre, and Annie....again WTF??? I don't even know if it's worth reading on with their story, then to book 3. So disappointed.

This series is so darn hard on my heart but it’s so darn good! I couldn’t wait to get to book 2 seeing that book 1 was left with a cliffy. I did think this book was going to be more about Beast but was very glad it was more about Beth, Skull, Katie & Torch. I needed more of their story. I needed to know Beth was ok. I wanted so bad for Beth & Skull to work out. This book nearly killed me in the beginning. It was so intense & angsty. My breathing while reading was short at times but there was finally a few places where I could relax a bit, although knowing something else was going to happen. I love that Jordan Marie keeps surprising readers with different events in this series. It keeps me on my toes not knowing what’s come. The sex was HOT & there was quite a bit of it too. LOL. I loved that this book had a lot about Katie & Torch. I loved the connection between them & how Katie kind of felt safe, at times, around Torch but still kept her guard up. It was killing me that neither side knew the other’s reason for not contacting Skull sooner. I just kept saying to myself that it’ll all be ok & they’ll eventually believe each other, but I was still on edge. I’m looking forward to reading book 3 now. Thank you Jordan for taking me on this crazy, angsty ride.

I read this book directly after reading the first in the series, I would not recommend reading this book alone without having read Captured first.This is part 2 of a cliffhanger, although this story is about Torch and Katie. Just like the first book, this one has elements I loved and elements I didn't love.*spoilers*Loved -- I love a good, filthy talking, dominant man. Torch is a great one, and I enjoyed him completely. A lot wicked, a lot sweet -- he's a great mix. The plot was good, I'm always a sucker for him-chasing/her-on-the-run kinds of books, so I loved that element. The pacing was good, things moved at a decent clip without too much lag. I liked the fact that we get to revisit the two main characters from the first book, and that things get ramped up for their next/final installment. (Torch and Katie do get their HEA in this book.)What I didn't like -- Katie and her impetuousness and inability to put her sister/niece above her vagina. There, I said it. Honestly, if my sister and niece were in danger and we were on the run (from two sets of people, not just one), I wouldn't be hooking up with someone from the group who is specifically looking for us. At least not in the way it was written here. I wish that Ms. Marie had created Katie's involvement with Torch as more of a necessity versus an 'oh I have to have him' kind of thing -- like maybe they needed to get info on what Skull knows about Beth, or they need to find out why Skull is even looking for Beth -- and with no friends on the inside, the only way to get information is to be a mole. Nobody in the MC club knew Katie, so she'd be the perfect drop. THAT would have been a better of a plot device; I'd have had a lot more respect for Katie and her choices if that had been the case. I get it that Torch is hot and all, but Katie, c'mon girl, ho's before bro's. I also found Katie's constant arguing to be a little much. Honestly at times I didn't know what Torch saw in her other than her rack and her asset. She didn't seem to put a whole lot of thought into her decisions, and with her sister and niece on the line, I think Katie could have been written stronger.I don't know if I missed this, but did Katie ever tell Torch the real reason her leg has been hurt? She told him a partial truth, but not the whole truth. I kept waiting for that to occur, but either I skimmed over it or it didn't happen.So now we are waiting for the next book to come out and I for one can't wait. But I was sad to see that the delay is due to Ms. Marie's mother's health. We can wait Ms. Marie, mom comes first. Always.

I loved the DEVIL’S BLAZE MC Series the first time I read it, and I love it as much now, if not more, than I did the first time, but at that time it was just a trilogy,....And, at that time, I wasn’t leaving reviews...But, now, I leave reviews for every book I read, so, as I read this series again, I’m leaving reviews.....❤️🌼🔥BURNED begins right where CAPTURED ended, and circumstances created by others, separate Skull and Beth...Then it skips a couple of years, and Skull learns information and feels betrayed, Torch meets and “connects” with Katy while searching for Beth and trying to keep them all alive and back to the clubhouse.. It appears Skull and Beth can’t forgive all of the lies and “betrayals” from each other to cross the bridge back to each other....❤️🌼🔥There really hasn’t been a book written by Jordan Marie that I haven’t loved....She writes the hottest love scenes and describes the heat between the couples, so much I’m just waiting for my kindle to explode ....❤️🌼🔥

Love love love! Wasn't sure how I was gong to like book two being Torch and Katie's story and getting Skull and Beth in between but it worked! Torch and Katie was fire! Just like skull and Beth things between Torch and Katie happen pretty fast but it worked for me sometimes it doesn't in other books but it didn't bother me in this series. So while Torch and Katie's story was happening the story as a whole was still about what went down in book 1 so getting the bits of Skull and Beth were KILLING me! I'm starting the 3rd book right after and I know my feelings will probably be all over the place. But I can't wait for more Skull and Beth. After this series I will still be on a Jordan Marie kick reading other books by her I purchased. Really enjoying books. Oh and that novella with Sabre, Annie and Latch just wow that's all I have to say. I wouldn't mind more of those three in the future because they were steaming hot!
